Eric Osorio

Director of Training and Development

Eric Osorio, UMP’s Training Director, is a distinguished VR/AR/XR developer and instructor with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, specializing in Robotic Systems Design. Named the 2018 Engineering Fundamentals Student of the Year, Eric transformed the Makerspace Lab XR department at Embry-Riddle into a hub for innovative projects supported by Gulfstream and Northrop Grumman. Currently, as part of the WiDE Lab group, he develops an augmented reality app to visualize electromagnetic fields, enhancing STEM education. At UMP, Eric leads immersive training programs, integrating VR/AR into CAD and rocketry workshops for clients like the Patuxent Naval Air Station. His work on the Watcher and Shadow UAS enhances pilot training with FPV technology. As a highly capable instructor, Eric also delivers lectures on project management, team building, and professional development, making complex aerospace concepts accessible and inspiring future engineers through UMP’s mission-driven educational initiatives.
